We meet at the Smith County TN Chamber of Commerce Building, 939 Upper Ferry Rd in Carthage TN
(about 1/4 mile West of the Walmart entrance)
The Smith County Amateur Radio Club reserved two tables at the 10th Annual Hamquest in Wilson County. We displayed pictures of past events and our new club Fox Hunt antennas and transmitter.
After last year's Hamquest, our Smith County club kids asked about hosting a kids activity table. We did, and it was popular.
Wayne Johnson's custom made Fox Hunt transmitter was popular. He allowed Hamquest visitors to take pictures of the schematics to create their own transmitter. Many visitors wanted to meet him.
We experimented with our club created antennas and Wayne's transmitter at our July meeting.
It drew observers from the community.
We observed the process of identifying a strong signal and then reducing the signal to fine tune the search.
